115th Reunion Schedule

Thursday Afternoon, November 7th

3 PM to 6 PM Registration at 115th Reunions HQ – for can’t-wait, eager-beaver, early arrivers. HQ location: Jonathan Edwards  (JE) Junior Common Room.

4 PM to 6 PM Groups and Quartets Rehearsals. Preliminary tuning up on chosen songs. Location information will be available at 115th Reunion HQ. Check in there first.

6 PM to Whenever Dinner. Informal, on your own, at location of your choice. Possibly at Mory’s, if you wish. (Please reserve on your own in advance.) Also, note the 115th Reunion team will offer a Friday evening mini-blast at Mory’s and, as well, a festive lunch there on Saturday. When you register, you’ll get to pick which of these two optional events you’ll attend.

Friday Morning & Afternoon, November 8

9 AM to 6 PM Registration continues at 110th Reunion HQ.

9:30 AM to 11:30 AM Individual group rehearsals. Location information available at 115th Reunion HQ. Check in there first.

11:30 AM to 1 PM Lunch on your own. With alums and friends. Choice of local venues – see list provided at Registration.

1:15 PM to 3:30 PM Inter-generational Singing Session #1. At Battell Chapel. Prepare for The Even More Perfect Concert on Friday evening.

3:30 PM to 4:30 PM Silver Dollar Quartet (SDQ) Contest, Round 1. Full rules to be announced in August.

Friday Evening, November 8

5 to 7:30 PM Beverages & Dinner. At Mory’s (for those registered for this event). Others? Choice of local venues – see list provided at Registration. Please Note: Dinner at Mory’s will be buffet style and seating will be by Whiff Era. Mory’s will not be able to reserve tables for specific groups at the Friday Dinner. Alums not registered/joining for dinner at Mory’s are welcome attend and enjoy the cash bar.

8 PM to 10 PM The Perfect Concert. The Even More Perfect Concert. At Battell Chapel. The Main Event! Landmark opportunity for YWA, Whiffs, & Whim to entertain all who attend and strengthen bonds with each other, Yale, and the Yale Community. Featuring the 2025 Whiffenpoofs, 2025 Whim, the Yale Glee Club, and *you*, dear vintage alumni.

10 PM to Whenever Afterglow. Impromptu gatherings of Whiff alumni and guests at locations of your choosing (Mory’s Temple Bar is open ’til midnight), to revel in the success of The More Perfect Concert, enjoy each other’s company—and continue to sing your hearts out.

Saturday Morning & Afternoon, November 9

9 AM to 6 PM Registration continues at 115th Reunion HQ.

9:30 AM to 10:30 AM SDQ Contest, Round 2. Location and rules to be announced. Finalist groups will perform in Saturday evening’s grand finale.

9:30 AM to 10:30 AM The Morning After. More group and inter-generational rehearsing for the survivors. Location to be announced.

10:30 AM to 11:00 AM The Yale Glee Club: Birthplace of the Whiffs. A brief panel discussion moderated by historian of Yale Prof. Jay Gitlin on the origins of the Whiffs and underclass groups out of the Glee Club, the long camaraderie among us, and the role of both traditions on campus today.

11:00 AM to 11:45 AM Is There Life After Yale? Panel Discussion on Career Aspirations and Opportunities for Whiffs and Whim. Alumni Whiff / Whim panelists from Finance, Law, Medicine and Entertainment fields discuss how best to network with alumni for entering / furthering career paths, and dealing with the challenge of finding the perfect fit for the perfect concertizer. Location to be announced.

12:00 PM to 12:30 PM Remembrance Service. Christ Church at Broadway & Elm St.

12:30 PM to 2 PM Luncheon. At Mory’s (for those registered for this event). Others? Choice of local venues – see list provided at Registration.  Please Note: Luncheon at Mory’s will be buffet style and seating will be by Whiff Era. Mory’s will not be able to reserve tables for specific groups at the Saturday Luncheon.

2:30 PM to 4:30 PM Whiff Year groups, multi-year Whiff pickups, Whiff / Whim combos, other assortments, presenting to a discerning and appreciative audience of their peers. Location: Battell Chapel.

4:30 PM to 5:00 PM Panel Discussion. YWA’s goals for the future and their impact on Yale’s singing legacy. Location: Battell Chapel, immediately following Alumni Jamboree.

5 PM to 6 PM Open time. Relax, refresh yourself, change clothes if you choose.

Saturday Evening, November 9

6 PM to 7 PM Reception at the Omni Hotel. Whiff alums, their guests, and other special guests of YWA. Reminisce during beverages, munchies, a few Mory’s Cups, and convivial chatter, plenty of smiles and enjoyment before the call to dinner.

7:00 PM to 10:00 PM Celebrating the 115th Whiffenpoof Reunion. Prepared by a premiere staff of culinary Chefs. Periodic interjection of singing by all and selected groups, including our guests, Whim ’n Rhythm of 2025.

8:45 PM to 9:30 PM Three finalists perform. Audience votes on each. SDQ Winner declared. Winning group presented with SDQ Cup, which will be inscribed and retained on display at Mory’s until the 120th Reunion.

9:30 PM to 10:15 PM Closing sets from Whim n Rhythm ‘25 and the Whiffs of ’24 & ’25. And, at last, the Induction of the Whiffenpoofs of 2025 into the “full rights and privileges” of our Tradition, including a shared toast from the Founders’ Stein and the Distribution of Whiff Ties and Certificates. Of course, we then close with “The Whiffenpoof Song”.

Sunday Morning, October 13

8 AM to 11 AM Continental Breakfast for all available and able to attend. Location: Rossi Glee Club Room, 201 Hendrie Hall, Adams Center. A final chance to exchange farewells and good wishes with long-time and newly-made friends, to reminisce, and to renew commitments for moving onward to the 120th Reunion in 2029!
